Daven (Klaus) Skrzynski grew up in Amherst, New York where he also attended the University of Buffalo. He studied both pre med and music before deciding to go into the music business full time. After a number of years teaching, freelancing and fronting his own band in the Buffalo area, Daven moved to Orlando in 1982 to perform in the Biergarten at EPCOT. Through the years he also worked with several other Disney groups including five years in the Italian pavilion backing opera singers. Daven enjoys spending time with his son Brendon, breeding Zebra Finches and taking his 1974 Roadrunner for a weekend spin.
Other musicians who have performed with the Sonnenschein Express include Bill Mueller, Ty Baden and Frank Ciavatta on drums, Jim Horzen and Bill Page on Accordion, Gene Hunn, Ted Schoen and Jim Snyder on Clarinet, Hans Prettner on Guitar and George Schnell on Tuba.
